Kopia

Kopia is a free and open-source software that allows you to quickly and securely make backups with your preferred cloud service. The program comes compatible with Google Cloud, Backblaze, Azure Blob, Amazon S3 or RClone Remote, among others. And, of course, you can also use a local server or a NAS.

Create backups of what matters to you

Thanks to Kopia, you can create snapshots of all the files and directories you want. Once created, these snapshots are also encrypted before they leave your PC so that they are completely secure by the time they are uploaded to the cloud or your remote storage device. All these backups will be stored in chronological order, following a pattern that you can set yourself in the app's settings.

Set up your backups

In the Policies tab, you can set the rules you want to follow when creating your automatic backups. You can set the time between each snapshot, creating anywhere from several every hour to one or two per month. The choice is yours. You can also set rules when choosing which files to back up. You can ignore files that have a specific word in their name or entire formats. And, of course, you can also choose how much you want to compress your snapshots.

Store your backups wherever you want

One of the great advantages of Kopia is that you can store all your backups wherever you want. All you have to do is enter your login credentials for your favorite cloud storage service, and you can configure it to store all your snapshots. Alternatively, you can set up your own remote server and manage it manually. You decide how you want to store your data.
