Information we collect
Koi Peptides collects three categories of personal information.
Information provided directly
Name, email address, phone number, shipping address, billing address, institutional affiliation, and any peptide sequence or research-use details submitted through forms, quote requests, or customer service correspondence.
Information collected automatically
IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, referrer URL, and timestamps. This information is used for security, fraud prevention, and aggregate analytics only.
Information received from third parties
Payment processors (transaction confirmation), shipping carriers (delivery status), and institutional verification services for wholesale accounts.

How we use information
Personal information is used for the following purposes:
- →To process and fulfill orders, including custom synthesis requests

- →To verify research-professional eligibility for restricted compounds
- →To send transactional emails (order confirmations, COA notifications, shipping updates)
- →To maintain site security, prevent fraud, and detect abuse
- →To comply with applicable legal obligations under Canadian federal and provincial law, including the Food and Drugs Act, the Income Tax Act, and applicable export controls under the Export and Import Permits Act

Data security
All data in transit is protected by TLS encryption. Payment information is processed by PCI-DSS-certified providers and never reaches Koi Peptides' servers in raw form. Account credentials are stored as salted hashes.
No system is perfectly secure. If a security incident affecting personal information is discovered, affected customers will be notified by email, and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada will be notified as required under PIPEDA's Breach of Security Safeguards Regulations. Quebec residents will additionally be notified through the procedure set out under Quebec Law 25.

Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law, customers have the following rights with respect to their personal information:
Access
The right to request access to the personal information held by Koi Peptides, including how it has been used and to whom it has been disclosed.
Correction
The right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
Withdrawal of consent
The right to withdraw consent for the collection, use, or disclosure of personal information, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice.
Portability
The right to request a copy of personal information in a structured, commonly used format (under Quebec Law 25 and applicable provincial frameworks).
Deletion
The right to request deletion or de-indexing of personal information, subject to legal retention obligations.
Complaint
The right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the applicable provincial privacy regulator (Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec, Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia, or Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta).
