But there is a slight change in plans. Due to the move to dreamwidth, the IC sign-up post won't be posted until January 16th with the actual meeting being the January 23rd unless of course it messes with an event at that time.

Attention all female nations!

Thanks to the Christmas event, we now know that the women actually do have their own little end of year meet ups after you know...years of speculation and headcanon. According to the strip it's a time for them to reflect back upon the past year, have some quality girl time, and possibly get stuff done that wouldn't normally get done at a normal world meeting.

Keeping in line with the rules set up way back when for the normal meetings (Whatever happened to those?) The countries are allowed to bring one or two close non-country ladyfriends along as their own personal guests if they so choose. This is also why I'm posting this now to give people time to talk it over with the other muns.

Welcome, newcomers! I'm Yana and I play this country, Taiwan, who also happens to run a cosplay cafe that the previous Japan left after he got permadroned. Since the app cycle is over, I thought this might be a good time to remind everyone that it exists, yep. More info can be found here! If you want your character to work at the cosplay cafe or if your character is the type who'd be a regular customer, please fill out the forms in that post. If you're already a part of the cosplay cafe, you might want to check that post, too, for more info that might help with writing tags and posts about it. Thank you!

And since that's over with: I wanted to talk about something- in fact, the S.O.S. Brigade, otherwise known as Haruhi's brigade to take over the world with fun by finding the supernatural and playing with them. However, the fact is moot here in Mayfield since the supernatural is ridiculously easy to find. So, ICly here, Haruhi has decided to pretty much renew the brigade and start over.

The core of the brigade's reason of existing still exists, but there's now another reason for its existence in Mayfield: to gather valuable information about the place and find a way out.

I honestly don't know if there's already a group like this (if so, please tell me and I'll make a note of that), but basically the brigade can be summed up by this:

- Having fun with the supernatural
- Gathering and sharing ideas about Mayfield (whether it be in general, or about the IMPORTANT things)

Anyway, I was thinking that meetings would happen once a week at a place where drones never go to - possibly Haruhi's house, but if not, I'll find a place eventually OOCly. And as far as recruitment goes, everyone is allowed as long as they don't aggravate the leader too much. These recruitments will happen once a month ICly, for about a week if there is no event after all applications are in/accepted, longer if there are events.

So: how about it? As usual, comments, questions, concerns in the threads! S- Sorry if this is not very coherent, this is my first time trying to organize something like this and I'm not too good at it..

Sometimes, we're not always around for app_this_plz when it comes up, so here's a handy dandy post for you to post your castmate wishes or even your own ads that people will post for you!

How this works:
1) Post your list/advertisement for ATP. If you have a special advertisement, then include it in a text box! Don't know how to do that? Refer to here!
2) Then, when ATP comes around, someone will post it for you if you're not gonna be around when it comes up!
3) Alternatively, you can use this to talk with people that aren't on plurk or what have you for which castmates they'd want to see here at Mayfield!
4) ???
5) PROFIT!

I've been puttering the idea around for a couple of weeks and I'd think it'd be neat to have a Mayfield wide sleepover. Now, since I don't play the most social of characters, Madoka will bring the idea up herself to Diana and that will be how it'll go ICly. We're thinking of holding it shortly after the next app cycle just to give new characters/muns a chance to really get a chance at having more CR than they would. (Which I think the current app cycle ends... November 9th if I'm not mistaken? Feel free to correct me on that.)

So, pretty much - comment here to sign up for it (chaperons are awesome to have just to make sure people don't get too crazy with things), volunteer your character to bring something, plot or offer suggestions for things to be done during it. Where it's going to be held is in Mayfield's Rec Center, since we'll have plenty of people for it.

If you have any questions, I'll try to answer them as best as I can. If I don't get to your question, I've headed out to spend time with my grandparents, but I'll be back after that!

Alright, guys. Japan has left the building, which means Taiwan's in charge of the cosplay cafe at 1245 Williams Road. It's your regular outdoor cafe, but with waiters and waitresses in costumes. There's a theme every month, so make sure you pay attention! I've lost track of who actually works here, so I want to get this rolling once more. Taiwan's now hiring!

But Yana weren't you planning to set up an invite-only restaurant a while back-
Shh. I have no idea how to work that out yet, to be honest, and I don't have the time to organize it on my own. Which means... I probably shouldn't have made a post about it a while back. Lesson learned. I'M REALLY SORRY. If anyone wants to pick the idea back up, feel free to!

CAFE INFO
The cosplay cafe is located outside 1245 Williams Road and it is open from Monday to Saturday, 10AM - 5PM. All employees will be given costumes to borrow whenever they come to work, but bringing their own costumes is allowed. The menu is like that of any other cafe with a variety of entrées and desserts. Dishes are often decorated with cute designs at the customer's table to their liking. A staple entrée is omurice.

JOBS AVAILABLE
Waiter/Waitress: The job only has three requirements: Be on time, be good, and most importantly, be cute. (Or good-looking.) There's also the costume bit, I guess. It's okay, Taiwan can force your character into it...
Cook/Pastry Chef: Someone has to make the food around here. If you can cook or bake, sign up here. Protip: just because the costumes are optional doesn't mean you won't ever get to wear them.
Tailors/Dressmakers: This will probably be a one-time thing for you guys since as of now, they need costumes. Need them. But if your character is willing to commit and make a little something for the waiters and waitresses once in a while, hey, why not?
???: If there's a job I missed or a job you'd like to add, feel free to apply for them. Just remember that Taiwan would never let anyone touch her money. Ever. Unless she signed an alliance with you and made you pinky swear.

So, Diana is working with Austria to set up a concert in Mayfield! What I was talking with Hannah about is that it'd be fun for other characters to join in, too, for the concert. Pretty much what this means is who wants to join in and contribute to Diana's piano playing? It doesn't have to be an instrument that your character plays, they could also sing!

That, and who would have their characters attend? Hannah's going to get a post up this Monday to announce the concert, so keep an eye out for that!

There's some details we're still working out about if/when to put up a log and that stuff, but yeah! Comment here and we'll bounce ideas around! :D

AHHHH, this is like my first attempt at a player run plot ever, so please bear with me.

Back at home in Ohio Will was the director of his High School's Glee club. They sang showtunes and also super hot pop hits and also Journey.



What I need to know for you lovely people is if anyone would be interested in joining a glee club is Schue started one in Mayfield? Would you rather see it done through the school (he's a HS teacher here in Mayfiled) or independently? Pretty much anyone would be free to join, he isn't one to turn you away even if you might lack some raw tallent. Play an instrument but don't sing? Totally cool. Sing but can't dance, he will teach you how! 

Depending on the feedback I hope to have an IC post up by the end of the week.
