Street performers, theatre plays, fortune tellers, face readers, cotton candies!…a week long festivity in the vibrant whyte ave in edmonton city. What a way to end summer as this festival usually greets fall with a bang!
The Fringe Festival
Don’t worry if you can’t, as this city offers a lot of things to do.
Known as Canada’s Festival City, Edmonton (Alberta’s Capital city) has the most number of festivals celebrated annually. Although it is such a simple place with a laid back culture, this city was also once known to hold the record of having the World’s Largest Mall (West Edmonton Mall) decades ago. i enjoyed their Fringe Festival, The Klondike (now the Capital Ex) and The Heritage Festival and a multitude of small festivities and events on whyte ave and churchill square.
Located in Downtown Calgary and known as the Largest Museum in Western Canada, i visited this museum and was taken back to the 80’s and beyond. The featured theme that time was Made in Calgary, an art exhibition of everything made in Calgary. From paintings, sculptures, crafts , installations and other mediums. House in several storeys, every storey narrates a story. Explorations and Fur, Festivals and History, Truly worth a visit!
