When you are in a glass case of emotions
and everything is bottled up,
why wait for someone to unscrew the cap?
Let it all out and speak up.

Never take someone’s feelings for granted
you just don’t know how much courage
it took them to show it.

Never run away from your feelings
because someday
you still have to face it.

Time is not an enemy
but it is neither a friend
if you keep hiding.

Roll the bottle
shake it up
break it if you have to.

The shattered pieces may hurt you.
The broken splinters may scar you
but then who am i to teach you?

I’m just as coward as you.

Reflections on Love and Life

Welcoming waves
as I see from a far.

Amazed by the maze
that ponders a willing heart.

Random thoughts
that suddenly seep

Who would have expected
it would swept me off my feet

How could you say
it is not to bloom

when i see nothing
but gardens of roses inside my room.

A dream is not a dream
until you wake up from it

then suddenly you found
yourself gasping for breath

The tide at its height
and the fire in his eyes

seem like signs
for that unexpected mire.

Although the sun is so bright
yet the clouds are in its form

as if it’s about
to welcome a storm,

But how could you see
an impending rain

if the sun is so bright
it blinded your eyes?

The clock suddenly move
voicing out its call

saying it’s time
to heed its alarms.

You can go back to sleep
and be lulled by its troll

or wake up and dive in
and be ready for a fall.

Life is Like An Ocean

Life is like an ocean. It comes in waves ebbing and flowing. Sometimes the water is calm, sometimes it’s overwhelming. And just when you thought you’ve seen it all, you’ll be caught by surprise that there’s more to come.

Realizing that life is a cycle. Still being thankful that there will always be something to be grateful for. And knowing deep inside that there will always be something beautiful to look forward to.

Yes, the best wave of your life is still out there. Learn from the waves and enjoy the ride.

The Reluctant Surfer

The reluctant surfer
I used to be
scared of the storm
and the waves I see

the water looks deep
and the height is steep

Avoiding it
I thought i’m a wise man
so I just stay on the beach
and build my castle on the sand

But even on the shore,
the waves swept it all

Can’t believe
I thought it’s safe
when i build some walls

So I look for surfboards
and try to ride
the waves that come
and learned from the tide

The fear from the fall
and the pain that it brings
when one is too slow
for paddling and wave breaking

Slowly as i passed
the eye of the tide
and survived the waves
that almost blinded my sight

I stand up all wet
and teary eyed
wiser this time
as the tide subsides

The reluctant surfer
I used to be
gone is the fear
and i’m finally free.
