Beholden – https://joysofjoel.wordpress.com/

Summer singing

Its lovely goodbye

still you say

don’t leave me sunshine.

Leaves are falling

turning golden,

still you think

you are beholden

To memories

of summertime

like chasing

elusive butterflies

but when winter

showcase its

magical

snowflakes

you dream

of bonfire

scented

autumn

for you

rather kiss

the breeze

of yesterday

than embrace

the beauty

of tomorrow’s

blossoms.

The Promise

The Promise, how can i get my money back, joys of joel poems, humor, rhyming poem credit loan word of honor
The Promise – https://joysofjoel.wordpress.com/

Still here waiting
and really hoping

The promise i wish
you’ll be fulfilling

Should i wake up
or keep on dreaming

or is it just
a wishful thinking?

Your sweet talk
i still remember

that dreary night
last september

Tried to call you
but you’ve been avoiding

my calls and text
as if i’m not existing

And when i call you
please stop thinking

That i’m doing it
because i miss you

It’s almost christmas
i’ll buy my honey

the gifts he wants
so he won’t leave me

it’s now or never
so please remember

i need the money
the cash you owe me

if not i’ll send you
a lovely letter

and i will be
your forever stalker.

The Red Poncho by Joel F

why red poncho is like love, the red poncho, , joys of joel poems, rhyming poem about love
The Red Poncho – https://joysofjoel.wordpress.com/

You knit or you weave,
whatever it is
The red poncho when i see,
reminds me of your kiss.

The magic of its fabric
The strength of its stitch
The mystery of its weave

The warmth of the yarn
that embrace me as i wear it
Somehow i knew
the red poncho is like you.

It covers me when i’m naked
though i wonder why it’s knitted
in a way that’s complicated.

Just like the memories
that you leave
the red poncho
reminds me

As you knit and weave,
that a needle is needed
to create a lingering memory.

Purple Sky – Photography by Kim, Poetry by Joel F – https://joysofjoel.wordpress.com/

A new dawn is welcome by a sunrise
but not always with a blue or yellow sky

The little ship that brings some light
will soon arrive and greet the morning star.

Still water and yellow trees
will calm and wipe your purple tears.

And if somehow the purple sky
embraces you with all its hues

Just hold on for it won’t be long
the sun will rise to change its song.

Betrayal

quote about betrayal, joys of joel poems, , poem about betrayal
Betrayal – https://joysofjoel.wordpress.com/

“Hello,
do you remember me?
I’m back in town.”

You hear it
on your mind
while you see
the sunset
outside the window.

The love
you never tried
The fears
that live inside

“Hey i’m back in town,
you still remember me?”

The what ifs
and could have been
The blooms
you could have seen

“Hey i’m back in town,
you still remember me?”

Your dreams
that dare to speak
when you betray
your heart
because of fear.

You close
the door now
but you remember it
all the time.
