Sustainability is one of our core values at the winery. We work the land with the utmost respect, employing only organic fertilisers and natural pest control techniques and products. Our vineyards are organic, and we have started introducing regenerative techniques to improve soil health.
At Jean Leon, we are committed to our land and respecting its ecosystem. For this reason, in recent years, our strategic plans have included a commitment to take all possible actions to help preserve the environment.
These actions fall under five objectives:
One of the winery's objectives is to reduce its carbon footprint to help minimise the effects of global warming.
The solar panels installed on the roof of the visitor centre generate 37% of the energy consumed and protect the roof from direct solar radiation.
We seek to enhance biodiversity by implementing organic and regenerative viticulture practices in the vineyard and taking the necessary actions to improve biodiversity in the vineyard and winery.
We aim to test and implement new products and effective strategies that reduce the consumption of plant protection products and fertilisers.
We have eliminated plastic from our packaging and replaced plastic labels with paper on our Qualified Single Estate Wines.
At Jean Leon, our wines are certified:, We adhere to environmental and social standards, ensuring responsible production and respect for the environment.

Jean Leon holds the "Biosphere" sustainable tourism certification, a distinction that certifies our Visitor Centre as a sustainable space that promotes environmental protection, fosters the preservation of cultural heritage and socio-economic development, and is committed to customer satisfaction.
