A/N: Someone asked a question and the answer was, ‘We’ll never know unless twenty years down the track someone writes a tell-all book,’ as they tend to do, and everyone around at the time says, ‘I knew it!’ Well, I figured that I might not care in twenty years (or I might be dead), so I’d write my own version of it. That’s how this story began its journey. It doesn’t cover the whole time period, as that could be left for a sequel if I become inspired by something specific. Unfortunately, there is no sex in this story, so if you’re after that – sorry. It’s mentioned, though.

Will someone please please please keep track of all the Christmas prompt fics...especially those that make a continuous story for the whole 25 days? I really don't have time to read them all now but I would LOVE to over Christmas when I have some leave from work. The H/D ones I mean. OTP and all. <3

Omg it's blowing a storm outside and I have to go to work... ugh!

Yes, yes I know I don't post much here any more but I am around. I still do the prophet on Saturday (Sunday for me) so I am still reading and checking out my flist.

I had a moment this morning where I was actually too overwhelmed to speak. The lovely vaysh let me know that a gorgeous new artist to fandom had made a vid to my 'A certain Kind of Memory and I should go check it out. Well, I squealed a bit and headed off over there. I had no idea what to expect, but I knew the artist's work from previous editions of the prophet and knew she was very talented.

I do know that I did not expect my story to be told in the vid. Like...Like who even does that? Who goes to all the trouble of drawing - and animating - scenes from stories and then put them together with the most perfect song? An incredibly talented and generous artist that's who. micehellhpdm thank you thank you thank you so much for the most wonderful gift. You made me cry at my own story again. Tears streaming and no words.

Haven't posted on here in a while. Looong arsed time to be away from LJ, though I am here, reading etc just not commenting or posting other than the prophet. I do still read H/D though. My forever OTP.

Anyway, just wanted to mention that I've been awarded the National Emergency Medal for the work I did on local radio through the 2009 bushfires.

Long time followers might remember I blogged most days/nights during that horrible time. It kept me sane, tbh.

Anyway, it's because of those journal entries that I'm posting this, because it's relevant. Make sense?

I am beyond shocked, overwhelmed and completely without a word of exaggeration, not deserving of this medal. In no way shape or form do I feel like I deserve it.
