An international network supporting the development of private sector transition planning with a focus on the official sector

About us

Supporting the development of
global norms for transition plans

The global conversation around private sector transition plans is developing fast. As well as allowing firms to develop their climate strategies and manage risk, transition plans are increasingly supporting companies to identify growth opportunities, deploy and access capital, remain competitive, increase their resilience and navigate uncertainty.

These plans are also starting to reflect national policy and pathways, and governments and regulators are using transition plans to make a range of decisions. At the same time, global coordination is required as new policies and regulations on transition plans are put in place.

The ITPN is a network supporting thought leadership and developing global norms on transition plans. It includes over 30 public sector organisations such as finance ministries and regulators from across Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, North America and Latin America. It is bolstered by a wider global community of civil society and academic experts and supports public-private collaboration.
