What is iStart Valley and the Youth Executive Committee?

iStart Valley is a Nonprofit Business Accelerator for Entrepreneurs and Innovators. We offer awe-inspiring, immersive, and experiential programs to create a strong pipeline of innovators and entrepreneurs for advancing economic growth by leveraging global partnerships. The Youth Executive Committee is a part of iStart Valley, consisting of high-achieving high school students aiming to promote entrepreneurship and innovation. 

What is our goal?

Our goal is to provide a world-class platform and resources for aspiring Entrepreneurs and Innovators to turn their creative ideas into growing Tech Startups. 

Who can come?

Any high school student! Because our hackathon is virtual this year, we want to make it accessible for anyone interested in joining.

11/11 Friday

• 6 pm (CST) - Opening Ceremony
• 6:30 pm (CST) - Team Formation and Begin Working
• 8:00 (CST): Wrap-up 1st Day and Review Progress
• 10 pm (CST) - Submission of the Project Abract on Devpost due  

11/12 Saturday

• 10 am (CST) - Resume Working
• 10 am to 1 pm (CST) - Teams Working
• 1 pm to 1:30 pm (CST) - Workshop #1 on AI
• 4 pm to 4:30 pm (CST) - Workshop #2 on Python
• 4 pm to 8:00 pm (CST) - Review Progress and Wrap Up

11/13 Sunday

• 10 am (CST) - Resume Working
• 10 am to 12 pm (CST) - Teams Working

In today’s world, the top issues are related to quality education and good health. According to the United Nations, over two-thirds of all 10 year old children cannot read a simple sentence. In addition, child health, maternal health, and mental health have been large problems plaguing our society. The United Nations Sustainable Development goals plan to alleviate these issues as well as many more by 2030. We ask all participants today to consider the best way technology can help the UN achieve its goals. How can your app help change the world and impact millions of people?
