🔬 ISPD Research Projects

The ISPD is committed to advancing the field of Peritoneal Dialysis through high-quality international research collaborations. Our mission is to support the growth of researchers and PD leaders worldwide, with a special focus on low- and middle-income countries, where PD use and research opportunities are often limited.

💰 ISPD Research Grant

  • Typical funding: US $5,000 – $10,000

  • Awarded by the ISPD International Studies Committee (ISC) after a peer-review process.

  • Proposals are reviewed and ranked for merit and impact before final approval by the ISPD Council.

Past ISPD-supported projects include:

  • SONG-PD

  • IDEAL

  • GLOBAL Fluid Study

  • GREX (exercise for PD patients)

The committee hopes to financially support at least one project per year, but more than one project may be endorsed and/or supported. Applicants do not need to be ISPD members for applying, however, the project leader of selected projects is expected to join the ISPD for the duration of the project.
