Rapid Response: Supporting evacuated and stranded Gazan families in Egypt

In Egypt, we have established an office and an educational center as part of our Rapid Response for Gaza. The office and center support vulnerable, stranded, and evacuated Gazans.

Housing: Providing temporary housing support to medical evacuee families in Egypt until their medical treatment is completed and it becomes feasible for them to return to Gaza. Alleviating the challenges of inadequate and unsafe living conditions they currently face.

This will provide them with a stable and secure environment to focus on their recovery and well-being.

Mental Health and Psychosocial Support: Offering comprehensive mental health and psychosocial support services to assist both evacuated Gazan children and caregivers in coping with trauma and maintaining their mental well-being.

Medical Interventions: Follow-up medical support will ensure that evacuated children in Egypt receive ongoing medical care, rehabilitation services, and monitoring of their health and progress.

This will contribute to their full recovery from injuries sustained during the conflict, minimizing the risk of complications and enhancing their overall well-being.

Informal Education: This program ensures that evacuee children have the opportunity to continue their education and maintain academic progress despite the disruptions caused by the conflict.

By participating in tailored lessons and activities, children will acquire new knowledge and skills, empowering them for future academic success.

Cash Assistance: Recognizing the urgent need to address the immediate financial hardships faced by evacuee families, INARA provides a monthly stipend to assist with their basic needs.

This financial support will contribute to the families’ stability and security during their temporary stay in Egypt.

Food and Non-Food distributions: Provide essential support to female-headed households (FHH) among Palestinian evacuees in Egypt, including Food parcels, hygiene kits, baby formula, and diapers.

Food Parcels: Distribution of food parcels to address the critical needs of displaced Palestinian families and economically vulnerable Egyptian host communities by improving food security, alleviating hunger, and fostering resilience amid ongoing socio-economic challenges.
