2024-2025 Funders, Donors, and Partners
Powered by Partnership
California’s community colleges are the hearts and hubs of their local communities. They anchor regions, support the local economy, build a skilled workforce, and respond in times of crisis.
This year’s impact was only possible because of our funders, donors, and partners. With every investment, you put community at the center, helping us meet urgent needs, build lasting solutions, and expand opportunity across all of California’s 116 community colleges. Together, we’re not just supporting students; we’re strengthening the entire ecosystem around them, and building a stronger California for generations to come.
Philanthropic Funders
Philanthropy turns vision into action. With the steadfast support of funders and donors, California’s community colleges are responsive, resilient, and ready to serve every learner and every community:
Annual Spotlight
Generous donors help students and communities in the wake of California wildfires
When the Palisades and Eaton Wildfires swept through Los Angeles in January 2025, more than 11,000 students, faculty, and staff across 13 California Community Colleges were impacted, losing homes, income, and stability. Thanks to early donor support and rapid contributions from individuals, family foundations, and corporations, FoundationCCC provided immediate emergency financial aid to those in need.
To date, $757,500 in relief has been distributed, with an additional $500,000 on the way to help students who were directly impacted stay in or return to college, including significant contributions of $1 million from the Jay Pritzker Foundation and $250,000 from Walgreens.
During the disaster, local colleges stepped up as community hubs, offering shelter, food, emergency supplies, and even space for first responders and evacuated animals. From Pasadena to Pierce to Santa Monica, California’s community colleges have once again proven that they are not just educational institutions, they are anchors in their communities during times of need.
"With the fires I lost not only my home but the certainty of knowing what was going to happen. My parents lost their jobs, and for the time being, I was/am the only one with incoming money for our household. Without the grant, I would have had to put school on hold to be able to provide for my family during this difficult time."
Individual Donors
The generosity of individual donors makes a direct and personal difference. This support provides scholarships, emergency aid, and critical relief in times of crisis, from helping students cover daily needs to responding swiftly after devastating wildfires.
Every gift removes barriers, creates opportunity, and strengthens communities across California.
Educational Institutions
FoundationCCC is proud to have partners across California’s education system–from K-12 schools to California State University and the University of California.
Together, we’re creating clearer, more connected pathways that help students move forward and help communities thrive.
Public Agencies
Through partnerships with local, state, and federal agencies, we ensure public resources reach the people and places they’re meant to serve.
Together, we’re expanding access to healthy meals for children during the summer, supporting foster youth as they transition to adulthood, and delivering large-scale workforce training that strengthens California’s communities, especially in times of greatest need.

Salesforce Invests $2 Million to Launch Digital Center for Innovation, Transformation, and Equity
In December 2024, FoundationCCC received a $2 million gift from Salesforce to support the launch of the Digital Center for Innovation, Transformation, and Equity, a statewide initiative designed to enhance student persistence, digital literacy, and career readiness among California Community College students.
With a transformational gift of $2 million, Salesforce boosted the launch of the California Community Colleges Digital Center for Innovation, Transformation, and Equity (Digital Center). In December 2024, FoundationCCC worked with the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office to receive a $2 million gift from Salesforce to support the Digital Center, a statewide initiative designed to enhance student persistence, digital literacy, and career readiness among California community college students.
This generous gift helps bring to life a bold vision centered on innovation and the future of work, with a special focus on preparing students for AI-impacted careers. Salesforce’s support will power two inaugural projects focused on AI-based work learning and entrepreneurship, while also helping to integrate research and evaluation practices to ensure continuous improvement.
The Digital Center, led by the Chancellor’s Office and principal partner, Foothill-DeAnza Community College District, with the support of eight founding districts statewide, will unite industry and education to close opportunity gaps, scale equitable technology-driven solutions, and prepare students for success in a rapidly evolving digital economy.
