Centering Communities Through Community Impact

Connecting Californians to resources where they live and learn

Community colleges are the hearts and hubs of communities across our state, places where learning, services, and opportunity come together.

When communities thrive, students and families thrive. Building on that role, FoundationCCC partners with colleges and public agencies to connect Californians to essential resources—from clean-transportation assistance to public benefits—through on-campus services and our statewide Community Impact Call Center.

By making these programs easy to find and use for students, families, and small businesses, we strengthen community resilience and expand pathways to stability and opportunity.

"I've never had a newer car in my entire life. Being in a lower demographic as far as income, it's really hard to get something that's new."

Replace Your Ride Program

The program provided Rosalind with affordable access to a clean air vehicle, transforming not just her daily commute but her family's quality of life.

Now she can reliably get to the grocery store, help her niece and mom, and manage everyday responsibilities without the constant worry of her car breaking down. The long-term durability of electric and hybrid vehicles means she can even pass this car down to her daughter, creating a generational impact and breaking the cycle of transportation insecurity.

This work exemplifies how climate solutions can simultaneously advance economic mobility. By making clean air vehicles accessible to lower-income families, the program removes a significant financial barrier—the cost of newer, more reliable transportation. Rosalind’s car provides her with dependable mobility, opening doors to employment, education, and family care.
