Innovation and Impact Report

Centering Communities

Connecting people and the places they live and work to opportunity
The Power of Community Colleges
This year’s Innovation and Impact Report honors the role of California community colleges as anchor institutions, deeply embedded in the lives of students, families, small towns, and cities.
Community colleges change lives for the better.

Our colleges serve as economic engines for whole regions, helping community members get the education and skills they need to thrive.

Local California community colleges are funding student scholarships, supporting veterans, and serving as centers for disaster relief.

They are convening community stakeholders, bringing new technologies to address long-standing challenges, showcasing local artists and athletes, and connecting students at middle schools and high schools to a promising future they can envision and achieve.

That’s why FoundationCCC invests in this work every day. By supporting California Community Colleges, we help create lasting change for individuals, families, and the communities they call home.

FoundationCCC continues to be a vital partner in advancing the bold goals of Vision 2030; expanding access, driving student success, and fostering innovation across our system. Today we are honoring not only what's been accomplished, but also the people, partnerships, and local communities that are making this vision a reality.

"When we keep people and communities at the center with vision and integrity, we connect the challenges...

of today with the innovations of tomorrow. When we open doors, champion success, and invest in the strength of our communities, we build a stronger California for all."

Creating Lasting Change

FoundationCCC collaborates closely with a diverse ecosystem of partners, including colleges, employers, community service providers, local schools, and government entities, to advance student success, expand access, and address challenges such as workforce development and community resilience.

This partnership creates opportunities that empower students and strengthen communities. We drive systemwide change across California, while also reaching deeply into local communities to meet the needs of Californians of all ages and backgrounds where they live, learn, work, and thrive.
