I-ASC seeks to make spelling and the relevant supports accessible to every person who is unable to use speech as a reliable means of communication, regardless of geography, age, socio-economic or educational status. Insurance coverage and wide availability are essential to ensure access to communication for all nonspeaking people. I-ASC works daily to accomplish this goal through training, advocacy, education, and research.

The nonspeaking community remains deeply underserved. With more than 26 million nonspeakers worldwide, the demand for trained practitioners far outweighs the current supply. I-ASC is dedicated to expanding this support by training more S2C Practitioners using best practices. Our goal is to ensure more families and nonspeakers have access to skilled support, effective coaching, and meaningful opportunities for communication and learning.
