Airsoft SCAR SMG conversion gang caught

Police in Brazil finally busted the gang responsible for churning out 9mm SMGs stuffed into spring powered airsoft SCAR bodies following raids conducted yesterday.

Opening up the clam-shell bodies reveals crude blowback smg innards made from square tubing. They must have been selling like hotcakes as they had been showing up frequently in weapon & drug seizures.

The magazines appear to be very crude single-stack affairs welded together from steel sheet. Capacity for these types is usually around 20 rounds. Not ideal but probably adequate for hosing down rival crack dealers in drive-bys.

“Operation Clandestine Forge dismantles illegal weapons manufacturing scheme in Bahia The group produced handcrafted weapons to supply a criminal organization operating in Salvador and the interior of the state 04/02/2026 The Civil Police of Bahia launched, on the morning of this Wednesday (4), Operation Clandestine Forge, with the objective of dismantling a criminal organization involved in the illegal manufacture of firearms. Investigations indicate that the group produced handcrafted weapons to supply a criminal organization operating in Salvador and in municipalities in the interior of the state.

So far, two arrest warrants and six search and seizure warrants have been executed. Two suspects were arrested in the Itinga neighborhood, in Lauro de Freitas, including the main target of the operation, a 35-year-old man, identified as responsible for the location where the criminal scheme operated. At the same address, a 31-year-old woman was also arrested. In addition to the preventive arrests, both were caught in the act for illegal possession of a firearm and drug trafficking. During the execution of the warrants, civil police officers seized a homemade 12-gauge shotgun, as well as two blocks of marijuana, reinforcing the group’s connection to other crimes associated with organized crime. Information indicated that the suspects were frequently acquiring replicas of airsoft guns, ballistic supplies, and metal parts used to convert these devices into firearms.

The purchases were made on a large scale through digital platforms. According to the investigation, one suspect acquired approximately 87 replicas, another approximately 30 units, and a third suspect more than 50, in addition to accessories compatible with restricted calibers, such as 9mm. According to the director of DEIC, Thomas Galdino, the suspects possessed the technical knowledge for the artisanal manufacture of firearms. “This capability was confirmed by the existence of metalworking shops registered in the names of two of the targets and by the seizure of tools used in the machining and assembly of firing systems. Investigations also indicate that the group maintained a direct link with members of a criminal organization, supplying weapons used in crimes such as homicides and aggravated robberies,” he highlighted. The operation is coordinated by the Specialized Department of Criminal Investigations (DEIC). The investigations began based on complaints received by the Specialized Anti-Kidnapping Police Station (DAS), a unit linked to the DEIC, and intelligence actions developed by the Department of Technical Police (DPT). The investigations continue, with the aim of executing another arrest warrant against another suspect who is a fugitive.”

The original Chinese made airsoft guns are branded ‘Vigor Scar-L 8902A’ and are available online for $40 / £32.

Making DIY ammunition from blanks in Germany

Combining 9mm PAK blanks with 9mm big bore airgun pellets for use in 3D Printed guns such as the FGC-9 or Urutau (featured).

‘Not-A-Glock’ pistols seized in Tasmania

3D printed .22lr ‘Not-A-Glock’ pistols seized during several police operations in recent weeks. Only basic easily obtainable hardware store parts including a small length of steel tubing (visible in the second photo) are required for assembly meaning these pistols can be pumped out in bedrooms anywhere around the world.

Modern DIY Arsenal in Europe

In many countries in Europe it can take up to two years to get a license to enjoy a shooting hobby. It is no wonder some Europeans opt for an increasingly popular ‘weird special hack’ which allows unlimited dirt cheap automatic carbines to materialize in one’s home without needing to ask anyone’s permission.

The 3D printed carbines in the photo are the FGC-9, Urutau, FGC-EVO, Rogue-9 and a Scorpion EVO variant. The pistols are blank firing replicas that have been modified by attaching DIY barrels.

Turkish Black Market 3D Printed .22 Derringers

3D printed Harlot .22 pistols being offered on the Turkish black market for just under $100 a pop. Supply is infinite as these can be continuously pumped out in the bedroom of this particular entrepreneur while he is away enjoying the finer things in life. No doubt there are many more busy bees out there.

Australian police are particularly upset at these recent technological developments. Politicians and police there have worked hard to put children in prison for just looking at a ‘gel blaster’ and now people think it’s appropriate to just press a button and materialize handguns like it’s a funny joke.

There needs to be more emphasis on educating teens on how not fun or interesting these things are.

3D Printed Double Action .22LR Revolver

A new compact revolutionary 100% DIY 3D printed six shot revolver has been announced which will further facilitate self-defense rights across the globe:

“Coming soon to beta on the Gatalog/Deterrence Dispensed Rocket chat. A no assembly required print in place .22lr pistol. That’s right just hit print and get a fully functional pistol. Gun Control is Dead.”

The usual retort to such developments is to point out that a gun is useless without access to ammunition. However, in countries were ammunition is restricted, people can easily assemble their own .22lr ammunition by combining .22 nail gun blanks with airgun pellets – a little trick used by poachers in China and criminals who adapt blank firing starter pistols in the UK.

3D Printed Semi Automatic Pistols Being Seized

The above which was seized in New Zealand appears to be a variation of the .22 caliber ‘Just-in-Case‘ with what is likely a printed suppressor while the pistol below appears to be the Y22-Hammer. On this example the slide is removed revealing a short length of steel tubing functioning as a barrel.

Below: The first instance of the NAG 22 or ‘Not-a-Glock 22’ seized by police, this time in Canada on the 13th of December last year. It is evident that organized crime have begun to pick up on these designs which provide dirt cheap near disposable (and concealable) firepower. These guns will only improve.

The Decker 380 3D Printed Semi-Automatic Carbine

The Decker 380 is a contender for the easiest to build semi-automatic firearm so far, if not the clear winner. Chambered in .380 ACP, it is designed from the ground up as 3D printed gun rather than being based around AR parts as with similar designs. It requires minimal metal work consisting of drilling a couple of holes in some bar which can be done using an inexpensive electric drill on a kitchen table.

Any kid capable of building a single-shot zip gun can easily build this, which may in fact be even easier.

Parts: The Decker 380 consists of mostly 3D printed components.
The Decker 380 bolt or breech block: No extractor or ejector hole is needed. Ultimate simplicity.

They’re panicking at how fun and appealing these things are.
