Customized Industrial Process Chillers for Plastic Processing
Introduction:
Our Customer is a leading company specializing in plastic injection molding for a wide range of industries.
The company struggled to maintain precise temperature control in their injection molding processes, resulting in inconsistent product quality and production inefficiencies. the Customer realized that an investment in a reliable custom-designed refrigeration system was imperative in order to settle this issue and improve their
production quality.
Challenges:
During the injection molding process, the Customer identified sudden temperature changes causing constant part
warping, uneven cooling, and cycle time variations. The existing cooling system was unable to provide the high level of temperature precision required for their premium plastic products, with the consequence of increased scrap rates and reduced production efficiency. The temperature inconsistencies also affected the
overall reliability and repeatability of their molding processes.
Solution:
The Customer decided to rely on Hitema® International Technical team to design and implement a tailor-made refrigeration unit that could best solve their temperature control difficulties, meet their cooling requirement and ultimately improve plastic production effectiveness. As requested by the Customer, the cooling unit had also to ensure uniform cooling and optimal cycle times for their plastic molding operations.
Results:
The implementation of Hitema® International chiller at the Customer production plant resulted in significant improvements in their plastic manufacturing operations: the custom-tailored chiller provided accurate temperature monitoring, consistent cooling rates and uniform part quality across production runs, leading to a general production efficiency and output for the benefit of the company business.
