Hi, friends. 

Yesterday has come and gone and we are now in a post-2020 Christmas world. What a strange trip around the sun this has been so far! Christmas in the Llama Household was a quiet affair — and included four Star Wars films, three delayed packages for Noel, two family zooms, and a large deli tray of Wegmans meats. Overall a good day. The best gift I received was this wonderful patch that Noel got for me from Etsy. He said that he saw it and thought of me and my law school journey — he thought I could look at it and be reminded that I can do hard things. He's such a freaking gem. 

This holiday season has been weird but I'm oddly okay with it all. I guess being an introvert has its advantages. The only thing I regret is not being more productive this past week while I've been on vacation. Hopefully, I can get some things accomplished this coming week. I really need to get a move on with redecorating my office and finally getting the house unpacked/organized. It's only been a year and a half since we moved in and we still have things in boxes. Does anyone want to come quarantine with us and make me do this? Noel is far too nice about everything. When I say I need a break, he'll let me take a break lol. 

Has anyone else noticed that there seem to be more Christmas/holiday lights this year? Noel and I did a drive around a nearby neighborhood and it felt like there were more houses decorated than last year. I guess everyone needs a little more jolly this year — whatever form that jolly takes. 

Speaking of jolly, I'm making Christmas cookies this year for my neighbors. Our townhouse shares a little courtyard with three other houses. We're pretty good friends with one of the families. They have lived in their house for almost 10 years and are the unofficial leaders of our part of the street. Their kids are ADORABLE. They are really the neighbors you dream of having, tbh. The other two families we just don't know as well. But everyone is getting cookies! Life is too short to not pass around cookies. I'm making Taylor Swift's version of chai cookies with eggnog icing (and some without egg nog icing for those who are wrong and don't like egg nog) and some fancy sugar cookies with sprinkles baked in. Simple but festive. 

I'm attempting to download and install mods to SV for the first time today. If you don't hear from me, it means I've FUBAR'ed my computer and I'm crying in a corner.
