Hi all.

Many apologies for being so MIA. Unfortunately, the news I have is sad. I haven't been able to get in touch with my co-mod for quite a while. I'm a bit worried about her, so if anyone can reassure me she's okay, I'd appreciate it.

With that said, I really do not have the resources, time, or knowledge to run this bang any longer. Because of that unless someone wants to take over the reins (which I'd love), this is the end of Het Big Bang. If anyone is interested, please message me. I'm happy to remain available for anything you might need or have questions on if so.

I do want to thank everyone who has been involved with this Bang, past and present. I've loved this beautiful challenge and its celebration of het couples and am so happy with many of the things I've been able to write and art I've received and the beautiful fic I've read from y'all. Keep it all up!

I just wanted to say thank you for your patience as we wound down from the last round. We so enjoyed being able to do that for you.

With that being said, we're going to have to skip this next round. I hope we'll be back up and running for next time, but RL is just not giving us another option right now.

We will miss you and will definitely keep you updated on anything else.

Hello everyone! The official posting period is now over and the Amnesty Period has begun! If you have missed your scheduled posting date, or already requested to post during Amnesty, now is the time to post! You are allowed to post on any day, from now until December 3rd.

We will be extending the Amnesty Period through December 3rd, to give a full 2 weeks of Amnesty!

If, for any reason, you cannot post, or cannot finish posting, during the Amnesty Period, please reach out to us ASAP, so we can discuss next steps. If you are an author (both 5k Little Bang and 10k Big Bang) that was paired through the claiming process, we're past the no consequences point and dropping out could result in a ban. However, if something major in your life happens (sickness, injury, accident, etc.) please just let us know and there will be no consequences for dropping out. Anyone that doesn't contact us will be banned, as we won't know about a situation unless we're told.

If you are a Solo Author, there are no consequences for dropping out.

If you are an author that has chosen to do chaptered posting, and you do not have your entire work posted by December 3rd, there can be consequences for not finishing, if you were paired with a fanworker. The idea of a Bang is to have a completed work posted!

If you are a Solo Author that chose to do chaptered posting and you do not have your entire work posted by December 3rd, we will remove your work from the HetBang Ao3 Collection, but there will be no other consequences for not finishing.

Weekly Round Up 5 will be posted later tonight, or tomorrow. Weekly Round Ups may be posted on Mondays, rather than Sundays, due to some availability changes from the mods.

Hello everyone! The 5th and final check-in is now closed and posting has begun! We’re looking forward to seeing what everyone has been up to!

Date Claims are also officially closed, however, if you need to change your date, for any reason, please send an email to us at thehetbigbang@gmail.com, with the new date you’d like to post on. Just make sure to check the 2022 Posting Schedule, to find an open date!

Posting will run from October 16th through November 19th. November 20th-30th will be the Amnesty Period, which is for any author or fanworker to post their work, if they missed their posting date! Here are the 2022 Posting Guidelines.

Do not post your work to the DreamWidth or LiveJournal comms! Posts are moderated on the comms and your post will be rejected. This is because mods are only checking the HetBang Ao3 Collection for works. We want there to be one centralized place to find works for everyone to enjoy!

Weekly Round Up will begin Sunday, October 23rd, and will take place each Sunday, with a list of works that have been posted for that week!

Note About Support Comms: Mods will no longer be posting the weekly support posts in het_banghelp, to focus on posting, but members are still welcomed to make their own posts, if they need some extra help and support!

Mod LuciferxDamien will be out of town, October 19th-21st, so we will be down to one mod for a few days. If your work takes a day or two to be approved, don’t panic! It may not be because something is wrong, it’s likely because a mod is not available at that time. If there is something wrong with your work, you will be emailed ASAP, so you can correct it!
