DATES & ELIGIBILITY 

HeberHack 2026 will be held in person at the Bishop Heber College campus from:

📅 January 8 – 10, 2026

This is a full 72-hour hackathon, including ideation, development, mentoring, and final presentations.

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

 

Who Can Participate?

HeberHack 2026 is open to all undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students of Bishop Heber College, across all departments.

Team Structure

Each team must consist of exactly 5 members, with the following composition:

  • 3 students from IT-related departments
    (Computer Science, IT, Data Science, AI, MCA, etc.)

  • 1 student from a Non-IT department
    (For domain expertise relevant to the problem being solved)

  • 1 MBA student
    (To provide business model, strategy, and presentation support)

This cross-functional structure ensures a balanced team with strong technical, analytical, and business skills — essential for real-world problem-solving.

Important Notes
  • Teams must be formed and registered before the event date.

  • Mixed-department collaboration is strongly encouraged.

  • No individual entries or partial teams will be accepted.

PRIZES

 

🏆 Winner – ₹1,00,000
The top-performing team will receive a grand cash prize of ₹1 lakh for delivering an exceptional, high-impact solution.

🥈 Runner-up – ₹50,000
Awarded to the team demonstrating strong innovation, execution, and presentation.

💡 Best Innovation – ₹25,000
Presented to the most creative, original, and forward-thinking solution, regardless of category.

All participants will receive official certificates, and top performers may also be considered for exclusive internship opportunities through our alumni network and partner organizations.

 

JUDGING CRITERIA 

 

Innovation & Creativity – 25%

How original, fresh, and inventive is the idea? Judges will look for creative problem-solving, unique approaches, and bold thinking.

⚙️ Technical Feasibility – 25%

Does the solution work? How well is it built? Evaluation includes code quality, functionality, use of technology, and overall technical execution.

🎯 Relevance to Theme – 20%

How closely does the project align with the hackathon theme and the real-world problem it aims to address?

🌍 Impact & Scalability – 15%

Does the solution create meaningful value? Can it grow, reach more users, or evolve beyond the hackathon?

🧩 Presentation & Teamwork – 15%

How effectively does the team communicate its idea? Judges will consider clarity, storytelling, teamwork, collaboration, and the quality of the final demo.
