Below is plot bunny that came into my head this morning.  Maybe some out there can turn it into a full story. 

"Scotland Yard sees John as Sherlock's babysitter.  The criminals sees John as Sherlock's sidekick.  Mycroft sees John as Sherlock's convenient bodyguard.  And Sherlock himself sees John as his Personal Assistant.  Almost everyone sees John as Sherlock's boyfriend.  None of these statements are true but one could be.

So who is John Hamish Watson?  John is a Captain of the Fifth Northumberland Fusiliers in British Army.  Even if he was discharged that will never change.  John is a medical doctor.  A damn good if you ask him yourself.  John is sick of very perceptions of him.  And he is going to let everyone know it."

This month I give you two fluffy Johnlocks follow by two more serious/angsty fics. 

1.) The Case of the Teddy Interrogation by Yarsian (K+)   Young Hamish Watson-Holmes creates a crime scene out of his stuffed animals.  A super cute and funny Parent-lock.

2.) A Week is Just Seven Days (Isn't It?) by scifigirl47 (T)    When John heads overseas for a week, Sherlock's forced to fend for himself. It goes about as well as anyone could have anticipated. Which is to say, very, very poorly. Don't worry, things'll be fine in just seven days.

3.) Child of Destruction by Mother-of-Monsters (M)   Pain is not the only burden John Watson carries. Sherlock isn't helpful in that respect. After all, the all-knowing detective doesn't believe in monsters.  A unique supernatural BAMF!John fic.

4.) Expensive, But Worth It. by velvet_mace (M)    Prompt: John tries to/accomplishes leaving Sherlock; Sherlock kills him. Yeah, I want it that dark. Also, I want the aftermath more than anything. (Part of Sherlock BBC Kink Meme at sherlockbbc_fic)  One of the creepiest Dark!Sherlock fics I have ever read but it is so good I just can't not read it. Here are some Sherlock/John stories that I'm following on AO3

1.) To Light Another's Path by Beautiful Fiction (M)  WIP Teaching John to observe seems to be a losing battle, but when Sherlock falls ill and submits himself to John's care, will he realise that there is more to life than the science of deduction? Eventual J/S POST TGG  Sick!Fics are a guilty pleasure of mine.

2.) Missing by dramatisecho (T)  WIP  In which, the Captain of the Fifth Northumberland Fusiliers intentionally disappears, and the world's only Consulting Detective chases after him. Post-Reichenbach AU.  I do love how John gets back to Sherlock after he 'comes back to life'. 

3.) Their Whole Life Through Series by eight_demands (G)  WIP  If his patient thought he was the first person to ever try to intimidate John Watson, he was sadly mistaken. John sometimes considered, in his own head, the subtitle of his Afghanistan years to be "Arseholes with Guns who Love to Yell." If anything, being verbally abused by a haughty git who was bleeding all over him brought back a rush of warm nostalgia.  Basically this is a John doesn't meet Sherlock at Bart's.  He meets him as a patient at Sarah's clinic.   

4.) A Series of Mistakes by Waldo (NC-17)  WIP  Sherlock hasn't been right since Irene. John has a pretty good idea how he can help, but exactly how the hell does one turn casually to Sherlock Holmes and say, "So was your brother right? *Are* you still a virgin?"

1.) In The Land Of The Blind by entangled_now at libraryofsol (R)    Sherlock's been acting strangely for days. There's a claustrophobic silence to the flat, experiments tossed aside or abandoned, cases ignored. It's almost as if nothing matters any more. John's determined to know why.

2.) These Lines of Lightening by Handful of Silence (T)    AU. Ever since he was born, John has been able to perceive people's auras. So he can see straight away that there's something special about Sherlock Holmes. John/Sherlock, Mystrade.


4.) The Ghosts That Haunt Me 1, 2, 3 by labyrinth_01 (PG-13)  Brenda reveals her painful past to Fritz.  I always wanted to know more about Brenda past relationship.  She seemed to act like she had been hurt several time by men.  Labyrinth does a wonderful job of exploring Brenda hypothetical past. There is sequel called Penance, Past and Present (PG-13) that you can find at closer_fic .  Warnings: rape, domestic abuse

Sorry it took so long to post this month but we moved to a different state and it has been crazy.  Recently I have started to read Sherlock Holmes/John Watson fics.  I didn't even know that there was a modern Sherlock on BBC and there are a lot of great fic for the show out there.  While they might be set in the Sherlock BBC universe I always picture Robert Downey Jr. & Jude Law in my head because they are so yummy.

1.) 404 error: file not found by nejem at sherlockbbc_fic (PG)    Old!Sherlock is diagnosed with dementia. As his memory loss progresses, he writes little reminders and puts them up everywhere--reminders on pretty much anything, from the day's errands to observations or random facts to memories. This story makes me cry everytime.  It is beautifully written.

2.) John Was a Good Boy (But It Feels Great To be a Liar) by mldrmtcmglmnc (M)  John says "I'm suddenly fighting the urge to steal an ashtray." or something similar. This is because old habits die hard. As it so happens, John is a better pickpocket than Sherlock.  (Part of Sherlock BBC Kink Meme at sherlockbbc_fic)

3.) Planet Sherlock by pir8fancier (NC-17)  John and Sherlock devise a rating system for their sexual encounters.

4.) The Velveteen Doctor by lantean_drift (R)  A series of events that show John just how real he has become to Sherlock – like a bright, brilliant flash of colour in an otherwise greyscale world.

I have recently started watching The Big Bang Theory on TBS and have so far come to love the show.  So this month I'm going to recommend some Penny/Sheldon fics that I have found surprisingly enjoying.

1.) The Descending Spiral Derivation by TriplePirouette (K+)    Without the promise of an acting career, Penny falls into a downward spiral. One person desperately wants her to get out of it.

2.) The Paladin Protocol by SpaceAnJL (T)    Every journey has to start somewhere. This one began when Penny found an alternative to paintball, and Sheldon dusted off an old skill.

3.) Upside Down by TempestJo (M)    It all starts when Sheldon has a bad week and Penny resets the balance unexpectedly...

4.) The Intimacy Inspiration Initiative by danakate (T)    Sheldon gets stuck again and the solution leads to some surprising events.

For November I'm going to recommend several Eames/Goren fics that I enjoy.

1.) Kamikaze by Fluffy-CSI (T)   An interrogation goes horribly wrong and Goren must watch his worst nightmare occur before his eyes. No character death.

2.) Decoy by AndreaX (M)   Alex and Bobby are asked to act as decoys for a son of Sam type of killer. What could possibly go wrong?

3-a.) Hell Hath No Fury by Susan G (PG-13)   "Do you have any idea what she has in mind?" Deakins asked.
3-b.) It Sequel "Even When You're Not There" by Susan G (NC-17) The way that your fingers run through my hair...And how your scent lingers even when you're not there...

Bonus: 11 Great Goren/Eames Scenes by surreallis

1.) Spring Fever by Jeannie Mac (R) No, Alex tells herself. You are NOT seriously considering jumping your partner's bones right here in the parking lot in front of God and everyone. But she kind of is. B/A established relationship.  *fans self*  Very hot.  I would love to get Goren in my car if this happened.

2.) With a Vengeance by piaffe417 (K)   Deakins tunes in to "The Goren and Eames Show"  It just absoutely love how Alex shocks Bobby at the end of the fic.  It is absolutely perfect.

3.) Trick or Treat by surreallis (PG-13)    Looking back at 8 year of Halloweens together and the 9th at a abandoned mental hospital.

4.) This Year's Model by Andreax (M)   Rodgers brings some autopsy reports to Goren, hoping he'll see the connection that she does.

1.) The Ties That Bind by kerrykhat (FR7)   All things considered, Jack probably should have expected some sort of reaction from his granddaughter when he came back into their lives, a little more than two and a half years after Joyce’s funeral. It just wasn't a punch to the face.

2-a.) Trapped in Time by hellmouthprincess (FR18)   They lie there, two people trapped in time, never ageing, never dying and never living. Buffy/Jack not a happy fic

2-b.) Its Sequel She Understands by hellmouthprincess (FR15)   Buffy and Jack are hiding, firmly fixed behind their masks, but somehow when they’re together they can’t hide anymore, and the mask slips. Dawn sees this, and wishes she didn't.

3.) The Convergence Series by jezaeiri (FR7-FR18)   There are no casual connections.

This time I thought I would recommend several fic from one of my more favorite Harry Potter authors, loralee1. 

1) Hindsight (K+)    AU, Post HBP Snape travels back in time to warn pre SSPS Snape about what is to come. No DH Spoilers

2) The Weasley Plot (T)    AU, Complete, post OotP, No HBP, The Weasleys beleive family comes first, even if they are not blood, Arthur must choose his course what is right or what is easy, Harry Potter or Albus Dumbledore.

3) Goblin Conspiracy (T)    AU, Post OotP, No HBP, Harry knows that he must take on Voldemort and finds unexpected allies

4) There is Only Power (K+)    AU Post OotP, possible HBP content but not HBP complient, No pairing.Independant Harry. Summer after 5th year
