Requirements
Our technical track evaluates projects where teams submit an app, website, hardware, or product utilizing existing code or new code written during the hackathon. Projects in this track must:
- Have original code written by one or more members of the team. Code written using AI tools counts.
- The quality of the code will not be reviewed. We understand the reality of hackathons.
- Finalist teams will have their codebase reviewed to ensure compliance with the rules.
- Please reference the rules for our policy on using existing code.
- If you have an existing project or idea, your submission must be the feature shipped during the hackathon. A project developed before the hackathon will not be eligible for judging or prizes.
- The quality of the code will not be reviewed. We understand the reality of hackathons.
All non-technical track projects must have a final deliverable that implements the use of AI/LLM into the final project. Many projects in this category will have an agentive approach to the use of AI.
Criteria/notes:
- Projects built using no-code or low-code solutions fall into this category.
- Your codebase must be at least 80% generated by no-code/low-code tools to apply.
- ChatGPT/Copilot or other tools count.
- We welcome submissions that pair AI with a human agent to execute a series of deliverables.
- If you have an existing project or idea your submission must be the feature shipped during the hackathon - not existing projects worked on before the start of the hackathon.
Two examples:
- If you are using AI prompting to write a script for a short film. We’d love for you to record and showcase a portion of the content.
- Building an app or website using ChatGPT
Think of it this way: AI meets your existing skills.
