About the challenge
Hack For Good (H4G) 2025 is a student-driven hackathon organized by the Developer Group at NUS. Our mission is to inspire students to harness technology for social good by solving real-world challenges faced by Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs). This initiative allows teams to build practical technological prototypes to address NPOs' needs, fostering impactful solutions that benefit communities directly.
Get started
H4G is structured into two phases: a qualifying round and a grand finale. Students from various tertiary institutions are invited to participate, collaborate, and innovate for social good.
Requirements
What to Build
· You must choose one problem statement from any pillar to address with your solution.
· You are free to use any programming language, framework or technology to build your solution.
· You are highly encouraged to create something new. Usage of boilerplates and frameworks is allowed, but copying of existing ideas and recycling of entire projects will not be allowed.
· Plagiarism and seeking external assistance are not allowed. For instance, you are not allowed to contact the NPOs directly for additional information or assistance. If these acts are detected, the team will be immediately disqualified. All questions you have may be asked during the Opening Ceremony of H4G 2025. If there are further questions regarding the hackathon, do direct them to the Official Telegram Chat.
What to Submit
- Code (e.g. GitHub link) with documentation (README.md)
- Pitch deck / Presentation slides (e.g. Google Slides)
- Demo — this can be included in the presentation slides or can be an additional video etc. It must demonstrate how your product prototype works, but should not contain any pitching.

- Include your team name, but NOT your institution
- You may use a maximum of 15 slides
- Format of the submission may be pdf, pptx, or Google slides (do make sure that the sharing settings are for ‘Everyone with the link’)
