Looks reasonable to me and works!
Does help with opencast/opencast-admin-interface#1230. In my local test system with ~10000 series, this improved the speed of the metadata webrequest when opening event details by about 5 to 10 times.

This PR avoids recomputing duplicate checks for every search result, hopefully improving performance in large series count systems. This may help with opencast/opencast-admin-interface#1230, though I have not actually tested that.
PR going into 17.x since performance is important, and this should not affect output - just speed of output.
