I've tested the GTSAM from ROS repository. The current version is 4.2.0 (a9). deref_iterator was actually introduced in 4.2a9. So this is a fix to #1033.
math (EXPR GTSAM_VERSION_NUMERIC "10000 * ${GTSAM_VERSION_MAJOR} + 100 * ${GTSAM_VERSION_MINOR} + ${GTSAM_VERSION_PATCH}")

If #823 is solved, you can use this as default for RTAB-Map in ROS repository.
