Code Review

This pull request refactors numerous API examples to use Dart's dot shorthand for static members and constructors, reducing code verbosity across the codebase. Feedback was provided to maintain multi-line formatting for Padding widgets to preserve readability and to use explicit type names in educational comments to ensure clarity for learners.

While dot shorthands are effective in code to reduce redundancy, using them in comments intended for users (like "TRY THIS" instructions) can reduce clarity. For educational examples, it is better to be explicit in prose so that the reader understands exactly what type is being referred to without needing to infer it from the context.

// TRY THIS: Switch to TextDirection.rtl to see how the borders change.

what does the style guide says about using dot shorthand in comments, IMO it's good but just to align stuff

At a high-level, the style guide says to use dot shorthands to omit types only if they are obvious due to redundant information. In this case, I'd argue the type is obvious because of the code the comment is on. However, the type is not obvious from just the comment itself. I think that's fine though, but let me know what you think!

I'm on board with using dot shorthands in the comment here, I think it's obvious and consistent as @AbdeMohlbi says.

(line 106, seems web editor is broken i guess) i think we can also do .all<Color>(Colors.white) here if it is not against the style guide.

At a high-level, Flutter's rule is to omit types only if they are are obvious due to redundant information. In this case, I'd argue that it's not obvious that RadioThemeData.fillColor accepts a WidgetStateProperty<Color>. One might think that RadioThemeData.fillColor accepts a Color instead, which might make them think that .all is a member on Color (e.g. Color.all).

Valid point, does this change fall under the material/Cupertino freeze if not can we ship this change ?

This PR only touches examples "core framework" examples that are "below" Material/Cupertino, so it's not affected by the freeze.

FYI, we added a GitHub workflow that will automatically block PRs affected by the freeze! You can find a list of frozen paths there:
