Summary

  • Update README status from "in progress" to "complete" for M0 milestone
  • Add SECURITY.md with vulnerability reporting policy, scope, and security features overview
  • Add .github/CODEOWNERS with default owner for PR review routing
  • Enable CodeQL default setup for Python and Actions (via API, already running)

Context

Full M0 audit found these gaps after all 8 issues were closed. All toolchain checks pass, these are documentation and repo configuration fixes.

Test plan

  • Verify README reflects M0 complete
  • Verify SECURITY.md renders correctly and private reporting link works
  • Verify CODEOWNERS assigns reviewer on new PRs
  • Verify CodeQL scan completes successfully

…odeQL

- Update README status from "in progress" to "complete" for M0
- Add SECURITY.md with vulnerability reporting policy and scope

Code Review

This pull request addresses several audit items from the M0 milestone by updating documentation and repository configuration. The changes include updating the project status in the README, adding a SECURITY.md file, and creating a CODEOWNERS file. My review focuses on improving the clarity and completeness of the new SECURITY.md file. I've suggested adding more context to the supported versions and including the newly enabled CodeQL tool in the list of security features.
