The Ghana Institute of Planning (GIP), with a membership of over 1200 planning professionals of various persuasions, has promoted high standards of planning practice and served as the voice of Ghana’s planning community since 1969. Planners anticipate and shape the path of development through a functional appreciation and coordination of inputs from various professional disciplines of the world. They also promote the efficient and effective use of natural and man-made resources with consideration to physical, economic, social and institutional factors of development.
