Brighton, UK

9th-11th September 2025

Brighton was another great location for another awesome GDevCon! Returning to the UK enabled some of those closer to home to attend once again, but we also enjoyed welcoming many new members of the graphical programming community.

We continued with our three day format which gave attendees plenty of time to talk with their LabVIEW friends and take time to make new connections. This also gave the opportunity for the Huddles to return, with lots of different topics being covered and learning taking place.

We look forward to taking new learnings from 2025 into our next event!

Stuttgart, DE

11th-13th September 2024

We were pleased to return GDevCon to mainland Europe for its fifth edition, this time in Stuttgart, Germany. This location offered an exciting opportunity to engage with a new group of graphical programmers who had not yet discovered the event.

This year, the Tech Cave proved to be a highlight, expanding to feature four vendors and the Expert Bar, providing valuable insights and access to specialised knowledge. Additionally, we introduced the GDevCon Huddles-afternoon sessions dedicated to smaller group discussions. These sessions offered attendees the chance to engage with the content in a more intimate setting and foster meaningful conversations. While significant coordination was required, we are excited to refine and expand this format for 2025.

As always, the event’s breaks and informal social interactions provided invaluable networking opportunities, resulting in the formation of new professional relationships, particularly within the LabVIEW community. We look forward to building on this success in 2025 with even more enhancements.

Glasgow, UK

20th-21st September 2023

Returning to the UK for GDevCon#4: This year’s event took place in Glasgow, where attendees had the opportunity to explore the city’s renowned Science Centre, featuring the largest screen we’ve ever encountered. This provided the ideal setting for showcasing high-resolution VI glyphs with unparalleled clarity.

The presentations offered a well-rounded mix of technical insights and engaging content, catering to both experts and general attendees. A highlight of the event was the debut of the Tech Cave, where three leading vendors displayed their latest hardware solutions, offering attendees valuable hands-on experience. With ample time for discussions during breaks, the event fostered meaningful conversations and networking opportunities.

This year’s conference saw a significant increase in participation, with nearly 50% of attendees joining a GDevCon event for the first time, demonstrating the growing reach and influence of the conference. Word is clearly spreading, and we look forward to continuing to build on this momentum in future events.

Amsterdam, NL

8th-9th September 2022

GDevCon#3 was a highly anticipated event that the graphical programming community had been eagerly awaiting for two long years. The pandemic initially put a wrench in our plans to host it in Geneva, but we didn’t let that stop us-Amsterdam became the perfect alternative, and the event was well worth the wait.

The conference once again brought together a diverse group of presenters, each offering fresh perspectives on cutting-edge topics and tools. Whether you were diving into the intricacies of connecting LabVIEW with other services via APOs, exploring the latest open-source techniques, mastering the art of automated documentation, or learning innovative ways to tame the LabVIEW UI to your needs, there was something exciting for everyone.

For the second event in a row NI stole the show by unveiling a groundbreaking partnership with JKI, aimed at revolutionizing the way VIPM integrates with LabVIEW. A game-changer for many in the audience!

But the surprises didn’t stop there. The social event-a pancake boat cruise-was a truly unforgettable experience, combining great food with scenic views, and creating memories that will last far beyond the conference itself.

Birmingham, UK

21st-22nd August 2019

The second GDevCon event took place in the summer of 2019, right in the bustling heart of Birmingham, one of the UK’s most iconic industrial cities. With an expanded capacity, this year’s event welcomed even more passionate members of the graphical programming community, making it an unforgettable experience.

The lineup of presentations was nothing short of spectacular, with a wide variety of sessions that left attendees buzzing. A highlight was the first-ever panel discussion for the event, which captivated the audience and sparked thought-provoking conversations. But the excitement didn’t stop there-NI made a huge splash by announcing the launch of the Community Edition of LabVIEW, sending waves of enthusiasm throughout the crowd!

And of course, no GDevCon is complete without a social aspect to complement the knowledge-sharing. This time, attendees were treated to a BBQ on the rooftop of Birmingham Library, where the view was as amazing as the food. The networking opportunities were plentiful, allowing everyone to connect, collaborate, and make lasting memories. GDevCon 2019 was truly an event to remember!

Cambridge, UK

4th-5th September 2018

The very first GDevCon kicked off in September 2018, and what a groundbreaking event it was! Held in the heart of Cambridge, the “Silicon Fen,” the location was nothing short of perfect. Cambridge is renowned as one of Europe’s most dynamic innovation hubs, making it the ideal backdrop for this cutting-edge conference.

Over the course of two action-packed days, attendees had the chance to dive deep into a treasure trove of knowledge. With 17 presentations packed into the schedule there was no shortage of valuable insights.

From cutting-edge programming techniques to real-world industry applications, the variety of topics was as thrilling as it was diverse. Each presentation was not only engaging but left attendees buzzing with fresh ideas and inspiration. GDevCon set the bar high for future events, and it was clear this was just the beginning!
