Pragmatic Trials: Advancing Real-World Impact

GCIG is committed to championing pragmatic clinical trials that are designed to reflect the complexities of everyday clinical practice. Unlike highly controlled traditional trials, pragmatic trials focus on real-world populations, diverse care settings, and outcomes that matter to both patients and clinicians. This approach helps ensure that the evidence we generate is not only scientifically robust but also directly applicable across global healthcare systems.

Why Pragmatic Trials Matter



Answer Real-World Questions

Pragmatic trials are designed to address the everyday clinical dilemmas faced in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.



Include Broader Patient Groups

These trials reduce exclusions and better reflect the diversity of patients seen in routine clinical care.



Enable Cost-Efficient, Feasible Research

By integrating into existing workflows, pragmatic trials are more scalable across a range of healthcare settings.



Accelerate Impact and Practice Change

They improve external validity and generate insights that can directly inform real-world decision-making.
