GBGMC’s LA-PrEP Power project is a collaborative initiative designed to increase the accessibility and uptake of Long-Acting Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (LA-PrEP), such as injectables and oral medications, by tailoring delivery methods to the specific needs of key populations. Funded by Gilead, ViiV Healthcare, and MSD, and implemented by Global Black Gay Men Connect (GBGMC), AVAC, and the Global Key Population HIV Prevention Advisory Group, this three-year initiative focuses on providing innovative solutions to prevent HIV in the communities most at risk.

Our KP Pre-Conference occurs before the kick off of the International AIDS Conference. We use this space to revolutionize HIV prevention among key populations and LGBTQI communities.

Our most recent KP Conference took place in Munich, Germany, on July 20th, 2024, and served as a critical precursor to the 25th International AIDS Conference. It was developed in collaboration with the Key Population Advisory Group, AVAC, Coalition PLUS, and Fierté Afrique Francophone.

At GBGMC, we are committed to supporting and building the capacity of Black gay men and men who have sex with men (MSM) organizations across the United States. Our efforts focus on ensuring these organizations have the tools, resources, and support needed to thrive and drive meaningful change in their communities.

GBGMC understands that information about HIV is often difficult to understand. We are empowering our communities by making intricate HIV prevention data understandable and accessible to our communities.

Founded by GBGMC in 2020, Global Black Pride (GBP) is the first global Pride organization that brings together Black LGBTQI+ communities across all continents to celebrate culture and diversity, providing a space for activists and community-based organizations across the globe to engage and reflect.

Safety is a major concernfor Black gay men around the world. GBGMC uses its resources to  alert community members about changes in policies that affect their lives ― such as the initiation of new anti-LGBTQ laws  ― and to connect those in need to humanitarian aid and legal support.
