Zapad 2017 Russia-Belarus Army Exercise and China-Russia Naval Drills near Korea

Pre-planed Russia-Belarus joint Zapad 2017 War Games ran from September 14 to 20th, 2017. The official number of participating troops, according to Russian and Belorussian official sources, was less than 13 thousand.

There are several things you should know about the army drills usually referred to as ‘Zapad Exercise.’ Zapad drills started in the 1970s USSR. Since then they were conducted every 2-4 years, on average. Last one was in 2013. The largest Zapad Exercise took place in 1980s, when 100,000 Soviet troops took part in Zapad drills.

The Western officials, notably, German defense minister, NATO, as well as Swedish officials and presidents of Poland and the Baltic states, have been convulsing in hysterics since July 2017. According to German war minister, not 12.5 thousand, but 100,000 troops took place in the exercise. Moreover, according to accusations, Russians had a clandestine plan to sneak those extra troops into Belarus under the cover of the night and leave them there! Please explain to me how exactly do you ‘sneak in’ 100,000 troops plus hardware? Is it the same method used to ‘sneak in’ the invisible Russian troops into Donbass?

Furthermore, the devious Russian grand plan is apparently to use these secret troops to attack poor, defenseless Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia — and yeah, Sweden, too! Never mind all those NATO/US bases stationed there.

You probably won’t be surprised to find out that much of this ‘intel’ was supplied to NATO, Germany and others by… Poroshenko and Kiev junta. Just goes to show the level of professionalism and level of intelligence of the German defense ministry and NATO.

Of course, they want to believe this tale with all their might. Why? Because they are looking in the mirror, but are afraid to admit to themselves that it’s their own reflection they are looking at. It’s so much easier to blame everything on Russia. It’s what they’d do in a heartbeat ~ in other words, invade Russia ~ if only Russia didn’t have all those pesky nukes and other cutting-edge weapons they don’t know how to counter.

Don’t believe me; just take a quick look at history. In the past several hundred years Russia was repeatedly invaded by: Poland, Lithuania, Sweden, Germany, Great Britain, France, USA, Romania. In other words, the same countries that yell the loudest about ‘Russian threat,’ and the same countries that form NATO!

So, number one: Zapad 2017 was a pre-scheduled exercise, agreed upon 4 years ago, according to Russian sources.

To give you an idea of what’s behind the name, the word ‘zapad’ means in Russian ‘west.’ This is the type of exercise regularly conducted in the western regions of Russia, or USSR in previous days. There is also a similar exercise, also conducted regularly, which is called ‘Tsenter,’ meaning ‘center.’ Those drills take place in central Russia.

Incidentally, the word ‘Zapad’ is pronounced with accent on FIRST ‘a,’ not second, as I hear it pronounced by the Western MSM. Accent on second sounds just too funny, and has a completely different meaning.

Number two: NATO’s Anakonda 2016 exercise took place last year along the borders of Russia and Belarus and it was the largest NATO exercise since the Cold War. The stated purpose of Anakonda war games was to deflect ‘aggression’ by Russia. It was defensive in name only. NATO especially employed RUSSIAN-SPEAKING statists to practice on them various invasion, hostage-taking and interrogation techniques. Usually, war games are not supposed to state the nationality or exact identity of a supposed enemy. During Anakonda 2016 NATO, with avid insistence by Poland, broke this cardinal rule of international relations.

Therefore, even if Zapad 2017 was simply Russia’s and Belarus’s reaction to the outrageous and insulting muscle-flexing by NATO, they are perfectly within their right to do so! The only way to keep the NATO beast at bay is to constantly remind it that Russian invasion is way out of their league, no matter how much they dream of it. The result of each invasion against Russia always ends the same way. I almost dare them to try. The result will be very predictable.

All my readers, as well as all normal and reasonable Western countries’ residents, this one is for you!

Don’t you see what’s happening? NATO, US and Germany’s hysteria notwithstanding, don’t you notice that Poland and three tiny countries located in the Baltics (Lithuania, first and foremost, with its warmongering hitler-in-a-skirt Gribauskaite, also Latvia and Estonia), plus Ukraine’s junta, are trying to engineer a war between the West and Russia. By inventing the ‘Russian threat,’ continuously provoking Russia and escalating hysteria and fear-mongering, they are attempting to ensure that large Western countries, particularly US, France and Germany are tied into an obligation to defend them. They want insurance that if they provoke Russia into responding through their actions, US/Germany/NATO will treat them as victims, not as passive-aggressive provocateurs they are. This was the way WWI started: a manipulated provocation in a small country triggered the major countries’ clash in global war!

In fact, we have seen this so many times! For example, Poland was the earliest aggressor in WWII, who invaded Czechoslovakia together with Hitler, yet it insists it’s a poor victim of German and ‘Russian’ aggression. Saakashvili’s Georgia attacked S. Ossetia, yet it insisted that Russia attacked Georgia — and the likes of Merkel, BBC and CNN just ate it up. The same happened in 2014 with the Kiev junta – and this lie is still ongoing!

All the Dark State / Deep State forces notwithstanding, don’t you see that these secondary countries are trying to manipulate large countries, provoking a massive military confrontation? And the silly Western MSM and sheeple just keep parroting it.

There are other three factors that are important, but not primary. Still, I want to mention them.

1. Pentagon and various weapons manufacturers, as well as similar war ministries and manufacturers in Europe want more money. To constantly receive that money they need to keep public in fear of an imaginary enemy. For them Russia always played the role of such convenient enemy. In fact, when Trump began talking about lessening USA’s contribution to NATO, EU countries decided to give US a bribe in the form of more weapons contracts and war games. The elements of this bribe are more US hardware in the EU and more US troops in Eastern Europe.  This bribe has proven extremely useful in keeping the gluttonous US military-industrial complex happy, and therefore, in keeping USA fully invested in NATO.
2. The bloated machine of NATO itself is having a hard time justifying its measly existence. Every time there is a talk of NATO outliving its usefulness, the sold-out Western MSM comes up with some sort of threat from Russia.
3. By constantly maintaining the fear in their populace, US/EU/NATO countries can distract their populations from real problems, such as migrant crisis, terrorist attacks and the growing rape rate by migrants. The West is in the decline mode, albeit slowly. By maintaining this constant fear of an imaginary attack by Russia, they hope to consolidate their sheeple around powers that be, so the sheeple won’t begin rebelling and questioning the obvious.

And now I challenge you to find a similar Wikipedia article on Anakonda 2016, that will honestly say that there were ulterior motives in that NATO exercise, and that Russia raised concerns over the fact that Russian-speaking people were used in it as hostage props for training purposes!

I was actually curious to see how the tone of such article would be different from the Zapad 2017 entry. I typed in Google: ‘Anakonda 2016 wikipedia,’ and this is the page I got! There is only an entry in German, written in a very different tone. It appears that the relevant entry in English was blocked!

Incidentally, per international rules and unlike US/EU/NATO in Anakonda 2016, Russia/Belarus used FICTIONAL countries in their war games. Another thing worth noting: Zapad 2017, unlike Anakonda 2016, was conducted deep into Belarus territory and far from its western border. In other words, as usual it is clear who is the aggressor, and who only seeks to defend.

At almost the same time as Zapad 2017, joint Russia-China naval drills were conducted near the Korean Peninsula. This is clearly a reaction to Donald Trump’s threat to destroy N. Korea. Just to save his neck and to be on the good side of the Dark State and the establishment, Trump is ready to plunge the world into a nuclear war.

Although not happy with N. Korea’s behavior, clearly, Russia and China won’t let US strike against it. The only way US can be warned not to intervene militarily is to demonstrate Russia and China’s joint resolve and military capability.

As I predicted — and sadly, my predictions materialized all too well and all too quickly, Trump has fully succumbed to pressure and behaves like a normal warmongering US president. In fact, he is on his way to surpass Obama, that typical war-mongering Nobel Peace Prize laureate. As I said a few months ago: forget Trump, don’t hope he’ll do anything good that is worth mentioning, and write him off as just another failure.
