Youth Empowerment Exchange 3.0

(YEE 3.0)

From Urban Pressures to Urban Possibilities

Nigeria’s cities are changing fast — and the decisions being made today will determine whether urbanisation deepens inequality or creates opportunity. YEE 3.0 places young people at the centre of those decisions.

Too many youth programmes treat cities as abstract policy problems. YEE 3.0 is different. It is grounded in the lived reality of Nigerian streets, neighbourhoods, and buildings — and it asks participants to channel that experience into concrete, scalable ideas.

Delivered as part of the Future Cities Summit 2026, YEE 3.0 creates a structured bridge between youth insight and real-world decision-making in urban planning, green buildings, and city resilience.

Why Micro-Solutions?

Big urban problems often yield to small, replicable interventions. YEE 3.0 focuses on ideas that can start at building or neighbourhood scale — and grow through adoption and partnership, not donor dependency.

Mutual Learning by Design

Participants don't just receive mentorship — they contribute to it. Practitioners gain grounded perspectives on urban realities that are often absent from formal planning processes. Learning flows both ways.

Visibility at the Summit

The best ideas will be presented directly at the Future Cities Summit 2026 — before policymakers, private-sector actors, and urban practitioners. This is a genuine platform, not a side event.

Selected participants will work in diverse, multidisciplinary teams from April–July 2026.

Application Deadline: April 30th, 2026

What You Will Gain

YEE 3.0 is not a lecture series. It is a hands-on programme where your ideas are developed, stress-tested, and presented to an audience that can act on them.
