I mentioned I started sketching again. Slowly getting my artistic legs back. Since I have always enjoyed technology, I decided to download the Procreate app – a relatively inexpensive application similar to Photoshop in design and function. I took one lesson online and now I’m am exploring on my own.
There is something fulfilling when we accomplish something new. I have also been experimenting with creating short animated videos. I am hopeful I can design a character and give it a voice and a story to tell.
Someone thought my opossum was a bear so I obviously have some work to do. I make sure I get my eight year old granddaughter’s vote of approval for each sketch. She is a talented artist in her own right.
Learning something new is good for the mind and enjoying it along the way is an added bonus. There are talents I wish I possessed especially where music is concerned, but it does not stop me from enjoying what others craft and even belting out my own version when no one else is around. After all, we need to enjoy this life, don’t we?
