FreeStyler (often known as FreeStyler DMX) is a free, Windows-based lighting control application created by Raphaël Wellekens. Built for DJs, clubs, theaters, and small to mid-sized productions, it provides an intuitive interface for designing and running shows. Users can create scenes, chases, and cue lists, organize looks with submasters, and trigger effects via sound-to-light, BPM detection, MIDI, or keyboard shortcuts. FreeStyler supports a wide range of USB–DMX interfaces and network-based control over Art-Net, and it includes an extensive fixture library with a built-in Fixture Creator for custom profiles. Remote-control options and a strong community ecosystem—offering fixture profiles, tips, and tutorials—make it a flexible, reliable choice for live events and installations.
