Meet Jesse
"I love fixing cars."
Jesse Westlake has spent more than three decades repairing some of the world’s most sophisticated vehicles.
His formal mechanical training started immediately after high school at Sequoia Institute and graduated already having his California smog license and a few ASE certifications. ASE Master status soon followed as his dealership career path was well on its way.
His training includes:
- Land Rover Gold Technician
- Jaguar Master Technician
- Ferrari Certified Technician
- Maserati Certified Technician
- Aston Martin Guild Technician
- Chrysler Master status
- Viper certified
He even won a North American Jaguar troubleshooting competition against 35 other invitees from all of North America, demonstrating his expertise in advanced diagnostics.
But his dream was never to work at a dealership forever. His dream was to open a neighborhood shop in his hometown of Petaluma where people could get world-class automotive expertise without the dealership experience.
That dream became Flat Back Garage.
