FireEye Endpoint Agent is the lightweight endpoint component of FireEye Endpoint Security that delivers endpoint detection and response (EDR) capabilities. It continuously monitors Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoints for malware, exploits, and suspicious behavior, capturing rich telemetry on processes, files, registry changes, memory artifacts, and network connections. The agent prioritizes and forwards relevant events to a centralized console, where analysts can hunt for indicators of compromise (IOCs), run real-time searches, initiate live response, isolate affected hosts, terminate malicious processes, quarantine or delete files, and collect forensic evidence. It leverages FireEye threat intelligence, enforces policy-based controls, features tamper protection and automatic updates, and is designed to operate with a minimal performance footprint—helping organizations detect, investigate, and remediate advanced threats quickly and at scale.
