On May 19, 2026, join Movers’ Day — a global celebration of the people behind every new beginning.
This year’s theme:
“Proud to be a mover – we move more than boxes“
Because what you do goes far beyond logistics — you move lives, memories and new beginnings.
What is Movers’ Day?
Every day, movers around the world help people make a fresh start. They carry pianos up the stairs. They pack a lifetime into boxes. They drive through wind and rain so that a family can sleep in their new home that evening. They move more than boxes; they move lives.
Movers’ Day, held every year on May 19, celebrates that impact. It is a day for companies, associations and professionals to say: we are proud of what we do — and it matters.
FEDEMAC launched Movers’ Day as a European initiative. Today, it has grown into a global movement.
Movers’ Day 2025 in figures
In 2025, 91 organisations from 31 countries took part — from Kenya to Chile, from Indonesia to Iceland and the US. And we’re just getting started.
Umbrella organisations such as AITI, Australian Furniture Moving Association, BAR, BKV-CBD, Canadian Association of Movers, FEDEM, FIDI, IAM, OTRE, AMÖ and ÖMTV played a visible role in the campaign. We are proud that Movers’ Day is being embraced more and more — even by non-members. That demonstrates the power of a shared identity.
