My mother is listening to some Edith Piaf CD someone gave her, and in the general vein of "je ne regrette rien" let's have a quote for posterity -
Charlotte: "It's not the living to tell the tale, it's having the tale to live to tell"
The best 89p I spent this week was on Muse - Assassin [Grand Omega Bosses Edit]. I couldn't find it anywhere else, so I caved in and bought the protected WMP (ugh, I know) off their site. Anyway, I declare it to be about a hundred times better than the album version of Assassin. When I first listened to it the initial guitar distortion was an eye-widening moment, but I love love love the distortion on the chorus vocals and the slow middle section. The lyrics are dutifully ridiculous in true Assassin fashion but my god it works so well with the slower, pounding instrumental backing, with that touch of piano.
"They'll try to steal your life
So watch your back
You're not alone
But you must actualise
The first attack "Biology revision is also enjoyable, really, when you get down to it. It's just starting it that I struggle with, as always.
