Key Program Explore Skilled Trades

Upskilling:
Created to assist people in joining our training program through our Training Delivery Agents network, before they start working with our employers
Inclusive:
We focus on helping individuals on social assistance in an underrepresented group and/or at-risk group to empower them to start a rewarding career in the trades
Community Driven:
Various community partners and our partner employers work together to support you
Ontario Based:
These training programs are offered throughout Ontario with majority of them in the Greater Toronto Area

Training Process

Training Plan Created:

A week of classroom training sessions conducted internally or via our training partners

On-site Placement:

Upon completion, participants will be placed onsite for a practical orientation, collaborating with a Foreman to further develop their skills based on the training received

Participants Supported:

TBDC will provide financial assistance and aid with resources such as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), supplies, and travel expenses

Training Completion:

Participants will be presented with a job opportunity if they successfully complete their training
