Quest is a bridge program for youth going into Grades 9 and 10 who are transitioning from being campers to potentially becoming volunteer leaders at EBC.
Participants enjoy the camp environment while taking part in age-appropriate activities and gaining practical leadership experience that helps them grow in their faith and character.
“Although Quest participants are not considered EBC volunteer staff, they receive similar training and are viewed as leaders by our campers.”

Mandatory Weekend
Completion of the Quest program does not guarantee a volunteer staff position. Youth who complete both years may be considered for volunteer roles based on their demonstrated leadership, attitude, reliability, and the availability of volunteer positions.
The aim of the Quest program is to
Train and equip youth to become Christ‑like leaders at EBC and in their communities
Provide opportunities to serve others in a Christian environment
Encourage positive personal growth and character development
Quest runs as a two‑year experience. While the content is similar in both years, participants are encouraged to take on increasing responsibility as they grow in maturity and confidence.
Across both years, participants will:
Take part in planned activities, games, and age‑appropriate leadership sessions
Grow in their relationship with God through Bible class, chapels, and devotional time
Gain practical service experience through maintenance and kitchen duties
Observe and learn from EBC Kids Camp leaders and staff
The cost covers program materials, exclusive Quest merchandise, and $15/day toward food
Sponsorship is available. Space is limited and acceptance is based on application and availability. Acceptance emails will be sent out two weeks after the application deadline.
Everything you need to know about life at Explore Bible Camp.
Participants will receive volunteer hours based on the amount of service they complete during the program (e.g., cleaning washrooms, sweeping, serving meals, etc.).
Youth entering Grade 9 or 10 this coming September.
All participants must attend a mandatory on‑site training weekend in June. Refer to your application or main page for specific dates.
Each Quest group is supported by a dedicated male and female counsellor, as well as a male and female program director. This team provides consistent supervision, mentorship, and support, ensuring a safe and encouraging environment for every participant.
Accommodations are in a converted barn-style building with no air conditioning, offering a simple and rustic camp experience.
Quest participants have a set shower schedule so they can be fully available to assist with facilitating camp activities throughout the day. To ensure everyone has access, showers are scheduled at designated times and shared by campers, staff, and Quest participants.
Participants are required to bring their own bedding.
Grow in faith, build lasting friendships, and experience God in new and meaningful ways.
