I’ve worked in the type industry for nearly two decades and have comprehensive experience in every common font software on the market, and can work flexibly to easily adjust to your workflow.

Extending typefaces can be time-consuming and is not the most rewarding work for creatives. Thanks to the help of scripts and an enhanced set of skills, this process can be sped up and made more efficient. I have acquired a wide range of experiences and I’d be happy to provide my services, knowledge, and patience.
For the duo Versluis+Vitali, I produced two color fonts for schools in Amsterdam. The designers created the typefaces in Adobe Illustrator and I transformed them into working fonts. We developed two variations of Color Font, a Mozilla/Adobe SVG-font, that work in most places, and a Microsoft COLR/CPAL version for better support on Windows.
In Spring 2020, I organised an online event with designers in Amsterdam, posting one variable letter a day. This was part of the #36daysoftype social-media event, a beloved challenge that helps designers of different practices to grow their community.
In our event of 36.letterspace.amsterdam, I engineered many fonts and sometimes executed ideas by designers that did not have the means to create a variable letter themselves.
Sometimes a free font might seem the perfect fit for a project, but at second sight has too many issues. In this case, I completely redrew Uniconform Round, added kerning and made a monospaced variation.
The design of Kunstparade Binnenhof was created by Richard Niessen.
