V is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and actor. He is a member of boy band BTS, who are also known as Bangtan Boys, Bangtan Sonyeondan, Beyond the Scene, and Bulletproof Boy Scouts. The other members of BTS are J-Hope, Jimin, Jin, Jung Kook, RM, and Suga. His first solo song is “Scenery.” He co-starred on the show Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth, and on reality shows In the Soop: Friendcation and Jinny’s Kitchen. He has hosted music programs Show! Music Core; Music Bank; and Inkigayo, along with J-Hope.

V is of the Gwangsan Kim clan. He was raised in Geochang County.
