Alex Warren is an American singer, songwriter, YouTuber, and influencer. Formerly part of TikTok group Hype House, he is known for his singles “Burning Down” and “Ordinary,” the latter of which topped the Billboard Hot 100.

Alex is the son of Lisa and James Ward Hughes. His father died in 2009, from kidney cancer. His mother died in 2021. He was raised Catholic. Alex is married to Kouvr Annon. Kouvr was also a member of Hype House.

Alex’s paternal grandfather was James Hyland Hughes (the son of Alvin Ward Hughes and Emma B. Teurfs). James was born in Chicago, Cook, Illinois. Alvin was born in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Canadian parents, from Ontario, Franklin Forsythe Hughes and Myra Rose Wright, who was from Colchester. Emma was born in California, to Belgian parents.

Alex’s paternal grandmother was Marylin Ann Aiken (the daughter of Warren Richard Aiken and Alice Heinemann). Marylin was born in Renton, Washington. Warren was born in Earlington, Washington, the son of William Perry Aiken and Mittie Corabelle Harris. Alice was born in Olivia, Minnesota. Her grandparents were all German emigrants, from what is now Poland.

Alex’s maternal grandfather was William Arney Buck (the son of William Edgar Buck and Helen Louise Arney). Alex’s grandfather William was born in Rochester, Monroe, New York. Alex’s great-grandfather William was born in Rochester, the son of William Landus Buck and Jessie Mcann, whose parents were Scottish, and had roots in Inverness-shire and Morayshire. Helen was born in Bellefonte, Centre, Pennsylvania, of mostly German descent, the daughter of Albert Miles Arney and Sydnia Maud Gramley.

Alex’s maternal grandmother was Beatrice Rolley (the daughter of Horace Rolley and Doris Woodhead). Beatrice was born in Groton, Massachusetts, to English parents, from Bradford, West Yorkshire. Doris was the daughter of Edward Woodhead and Jennie Priestley.
