Access Welcome Guide

EPIC is for everyone.

We are committed to creating a museum experience that is open, inclusive, and accessible to all visitors. Our initiatives include sensory-friendly evenings, a dedicated Quiet Room, wheelchair access across all levels, carer tickets, and multilingual guides.

We provide regular staff training to support visitors with diverse needs, and we work with community groups to ensure every guest feels welcome. Our goal is simple: to make our museum and stories accessible to everyone.

Sensory-Friendly Evenings

At EPIC, we’re proud to offer Sensory-Friendly Evenings — special sessions designed to make the museum calmer and more comfortable for neurodiverse visitors and anyone with sensory sensitivities.

During these evenings, audio is muted, captions appear on all screens, and guests receive a colour-coded passport to guide them through each gallery. Our team is trained to provide support, from recognising JAM cards and Sunflower badges to offering Sensory Kits and pointing out our Quiet Room.

Please check our Events page for details of our next Sensory evening.
