WordPress
WordPress developer at the Lake. That's us.
WordPress runs about 40% of the web, including most of the sites we've built since 2006. If you need somebody to build a new WordPress site, fix one that's broken, speed up a slow one, or just take maintenance off your plate, you're in the right place. We're in Lake Ozark, Missouri, ten minutes from Bagnell Dam. Lake-area clients (Lake Ozark, Osage Beach, Camdenton, Eldon, Sunrise Beach, Laurie) get coffee meetings if they want. Everybody else gets Zoom. Call (573) 746-2417 and a real person picks up.
What we do with WordPress
New WordPress sites. Real custom themes, not thirty plugins glued together. Fast on a phone. Easy to update yourself.
Custom plugins. When off-the-shelf doesn't fit (a custom form, a tie-in to a system you already use, a content editor that fits how you actually work), we write it. A bunch of our clients are running custom plugins we built ten plus years ago, still humming.
Fixing what's broken. White screen of death, stuck on an old version, hacked, bad redirect loops, mail not sending. We've seen most of it. We tell you what's wrong and what it costs to fix in writing first.
Speeding up slow sites. A WordPress site stuck at a 40 on Google PageSpeed can usually get to 90 plus in a few days without rebuilding from scratch. Caching, CDN, image work, removing junk plugins. Boring stuff that adds up.
Hosting and maintenance. Monthly plugin and core updates, security, backups, uptime checks, somebody who picks up the phone when something breaks. The boring part big agencies don't want to do.
Lake-area folks get a real local developer
Most "WordPress developer near me" results are agencies in Austin or India with a Lake Ozark landing page. We're actually here. If you're in Lake Ozark, Osage Beach, Camdenton, Eldon, Sunrise Beach, Laurie, Versailles, Linn Creek, or Gravois Mills, we can meet at your office or grab coffee on the Strip. Same time zone, same area code, same Walmart parking lot.
For folks farther out (Jefferson City, Columbia, Springfield, Kansas City, St. Louis, or out of state), we work over email and Zoom. The work doesn't change, only how often we wave at each other.
Who we fit
We fit small and mid-size businesses who want a real person on the phone, a WordPress site that works, and somebody who'll still be here in 2030 when something needs a tweak. Our oldest client has been with us since 2008. That's the speed we work at.
If you're a 20-person editorial team running a headless React WordPress frontend at the New York Times, a specialty agency is a better fit. If you want a $99 template, a template shop is fine. Everything in between, that's our lane.

FAQ
Common questions
Do we have to meet in person?
No. We work with folks all over the country every day over email and Zoom. "Near me" mostly matters if you want to meet over coffee. The work itself is the same.
What does WordPress work cost?
Depends what you need. A small fix is a few hundred. A new site is a few thousand and up. Maintenance retainers are monthly. Tell us the situation and we'll send the price in writing within one business day. No hourly meter.
Can you take over a site another developer built?
Yes, as long as it's a reasonable WordPress build. We look it over first and tell you honestly whether to take it over or rebuild it. Sometimes rebuild is cheaper than fixing somebody else's mess.
Do you work with Divi, Elementor, WPBakery?
We can. We don't recommend them for new builds because they slow sites down and lock your content into a specific editor. If you're already on one and it works, we work in it. If we're starting fresh, we usually pick a cleaner approach.
What WordPress versions do you support?
Current stable and the previous major. WordPress 4.x sites we'll only touch if the first step is upgrading them. Old versions haven't gotten security patches in years and building on them is asking for trouble.
Ready to talk?
Tell us what you're thinking.
We quote every project as a flat fee in writing once we understand the scope. Drop us a note, give us a call, or send a text. We'll get back within one business day.
