EF Commander 25.30

EF Commander is a powerful and complex file manager that offers pretty much all the same functions and features that more popular programs of the same kind, such as Total Commander, offer. It comes with the highly-versatile and very handy typical dual-pane tabbed interface that made the modern file managers so widely-used.

The interface is highly-customizable and this is a big plus for file managers in particular, as, being able to customize it in every detail, according to your precise needs, is a very important aspect of such an application. The large number of embedded tools is another aspect that makes a good file manager, and EF Commander has a lot of built-in utilities, including an audio player, an FTP client, a batch file renaming tool, a hex editor, packers supporting more than 20 archive formats, viewers, checksum calculators, and so on.

The audio player is surprisingly powerful considering that it’s just one of the many secondary features that EF Commander offers – it comes with support for creating and managing playlists, editing ID3 Tag or playing audio files of many formats, including MP3, OGG, FLAC, WAV and WMA.

Another important advantage of this application is its speed, as it supports multi-threading techniques, which ensure that every file operation will be completed in the shortest time. Folder comparison and synchronization functions are also available.

Though its price could be a little lower, EF Commander is, in my opinion, one of the best options when looking for a handy and effective file manager.
