I officially began teaching at ECPI University in December 2024, bringing with me a background deeply rooted in service, leadership, and research. Born and raised in the Hampton Roads area, I proudly served in the United States Army before transitioning to the Department of Homeland Security, where I supported service members and their families with identified special needs. I am also a published research scholar, with work focusing on treatment efficacy for PTSD in combat veterans and adolescent suicide and depression. This research continues to shape how I teach, mentor, and connect with students.

Outside the classroom, I am a proud mom of three amazing boys who bring so much joy and energy to my life. We love traveling together and exploring new places and cultures whenever we can. As a family, we volunteer throughout the community with the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore, Oasis Social Ministry, and Mercy Drops. Service is a core value in both my personal and professional life, and I am passionate about wellness, mentorship, and creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and supported. I am also an avid runner, currently training for a 10-miler and 5K next weekend, which keeps me motivated and grounded.
Teaching at ECPI allows me to connect deeply with students who are driven, focused, and balancing real-life responsibilities while pursuing their goals. I love helping students see psychology not just as a subject, but as a tool to understand themselves and others. Watching them grow in confidence and curiosity is what makes this work so meaningful. Education has the power to transform lives, and being part of that process at ECPI is both a privilege and an honor.
