E&A’s Environmental Scientists help clients navigate evolving environmental regulations while balancing development with natural resource protection. They also assess properties for potential environmental liabilities, ensuring informed decisions.

Environmental Services

  • The National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requires federal agencies to assess the effects of their proposed actions prior to making decisions.

  • Under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MBTA), construction activities that could result in the knowledgeable “take” of a protected avian species or their nests, such as tree clearing, grubbing, or vegetation removal during the primary breeding season, would violate the MBTA.

  • E&A’s Environmental Scientists help owners, developers and government agencies identify and overcome potential environmental conflicts.

  • Stormwater runoff from an industrial site is regulated by state statutes.

  • A Phase I ESA identifies a Recognized Environmental Condition - the presence or likely presence of hazardous substances or petroleum products, either on the target property or an adjoining property.

  • The United States Environmental Protection Agency requires that municipalities develop and implement a program to reduce water pollutants that can be produced by new development.

  • Any project that has the potential to impact Waters of the U.S. or State (including channels, wetlands, and waterbodies) is required to complete a wetland delineation and coordinate with the United States Army Corps of Engineers as necessary.

  • If you store 1,320+ gallons of oil products above ground in 55 gallon (or bigger) containers, or 42,000+ gallons underground, you are required to have a Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan.
